Its coastline of little townships is a favourite water wonderland, famous for its white sand and crystal clear water. Huskisson/Vincentia has seven beautiful beaches and Hyams Beach is renowned for having the whitest sand in the world.

Jervis Bay is a fishing paradise and is a beautiful scuba diving spot. Dolphin watching is a favourite pastime. As well as fishing the area is renowned for surfing, snorkeling, sailing and other water sports.

Jervis Bay is only 2 and a half hours drive from Sydney and Canberra.

• The idyllic setting of St Georges Basin and Sanctuary Point and the Basin's protected waters allow for ideal fishing, swimming, family picnics, water skiing and canoeing.
• Visit Currarong, a quite village close to the much photographed Port Perpendicular.
• Walk the trails around spectacular Beecroft Headland with views of the majestic cliffs.
• Culburra Beach Village is virtually surrounded by water with two surf beaches, Lake Wollumboola, Oyster Bay and Crookhaven River all within 4 kms.
• Explore the magnificent unspoilt Booderee National Park and Botanic Gardens. Visitors can enjoy spectacular sights and experience the native fauna, flora and perhaps even see whales and dolphins in their natural playground. Established walking tracks make it easy for bushwalkers.
• HMAS Creswell, the Navel Training College is open to the public on week-ends and public holidays.
