A two and a half hour
drive from Sydney and a couple of hours from Canberra. Nowra is situated
on the Shoalhaven River with Bomaderry directly opposite on the northern
side of the river.
Nowra is rapidly
becoming a popular tourist centre and the principal town in the Shoalhaven
district with close access to Berry, Shoalhaven Heads, Coolangatta, Culburra
Beach (home of the Nowra Surf Club), Greenwell Point and the Jervis Bay area.
There has been close
connections with the Australian Navy and helicopters are a familiar and friendly
sight in the skies of Nowra.
